Following the proposals made in June 2017, to relocate and expand Broadway East First School, the Governing Body will update this page with new information as it becomes available. 

On Wednesday 30th October 2019, a new delegated decision (DD) was made to modify the original decision made by Cabinet in November 2017 by extending the implementation date regarding the Council and the Governing Body of Broadway East First School proposals to increase the capacity of Broadway East First School and to transfer the school to a new site on Newcastle Great Park (NGP) from 1 September 2020 to 1 September 2022 or sooner if possible. It also extends the timeline for acquiring the land.

Statement added on 05/11/19

In June 2017, the Governors of Broadway East First School proposed an expansion and relocation of the school to an identified site on Newcastle Great Park. The rationale and explanation are explained in the original documentation which can be accessed by clicking on the links below.
